Stop Fighting the Guitar
and Learn How Guitar Movement Really Works

If you care deeply about your playing but still feel held back by tension, bad habits, or hands that do not do what you hear in your mind, Fox Guitar Academy helps you understand what most guitarists were never clearly taught: how movement really works on the guitar.

When you care deeply, being stuck is hard to ignore.

There is a particular kind of frustration in loving music, practicing with commitment, and still feeling that something is not working.

You try to be disciplined. You repeat passages. You slow things down. You watch lessons, try new advice, and keep adding more things to practice.

And yet your hands still feel tense. Certain techniques remain unreliable. Simple things take too much effort. Progress comes, but not in a way you can fully trust.

After a while, the problem is not only technical. It starts to weigh on your confidence. You begin to wonder whether you are practicing the wrong things, or whether your hands will ever feel truly free.

Often, the real problem is simpler than that. You were shown what to play — but not clearly taught how to move.

That is frustrating — but it is also good news, because it means the problem may be more understandable than you think.

Most guitar instruction teaches material. This course teaches mechanism.

Most lessons give you songs, tabs and exercises. Useful, yes — but not enough.
If the underlying movement is tense or inefficient, more material does not solve the problem. It buries it.
Fox Guitar Academy is built on a different principle: if you understand movement, you can change your playing at the root.
That is why this course does not begin with tricks, speed, or performance polish. It begins where good playing actually begins: with movement, coordination, and the connection between your hands, the instrument, and sound.
In other words: before you add more material, you rebuild the mechanism that makes good playing possible.

From fighting the guitar to understanding it

This is the shift Fox Guitar Academy is designed to create:

From tension to clarity

You begin to understand what your hands actually need to do.

From random practice to disciplined, intelligent practice

You stop guessing what to fix.

From exercises to technique that becomes music

The work carries directly into real playing.

From frustration to more natural, reliable playing

Your music feel less blocked and less forced.

From limitation to ease, confidence, and freedom

The guitar begins to respond with less resistance.

Not because guitar gets easy overnight, but because your practice starts to make sense. Your hands begin to feel more reliable. The guitar responds with less resistance. You stop second-guessing what to fix, and your practice becomes calmer, clearer, and more directed.

How This Method Works

Every lesson follows a 3-step system:

Learn

Understand one movement principle clearly, so you know what your hands are actually trying to do.

Isolate

Train that movement directly through focused exercises, so it becomes more natural and reliable.

Integrate

Apply it in an original piece written to reinforce that exact movement, so technique becomes part of music — not something separate from it.

This is one of the deepest differences in the Academy: technique is never treated as an isolated gym exercise. It is trained clearly, then brought back into music where it belongs.

Hi, I’m Václav Fuksa — guitarist, teacher, and creator of Fox Guitar Academy. Over the years, I’ve seen many passionate, disciplined players struggle with the same thing: not a lack of dedication, but a lack of clear guidance on how movement actually works on the guitar.

This course is my response to that. I created it to help guitarists who care deeply about improving release tension, stop second-guessing their technique, and build a way of playing that feels clearer, more natural, and more reliable.

When I’m not performing, teaching, or writing music, you’ll find me hiking in the mountains, paddling down a river, or reading Musashi — because I secretly wish I were a samurai :)

I want Fox Guitar Academy to become a space for curious, committed guitar nerds who are commited about progress and enjoy growing alongside others. I’m glad you’re here.

Who This Course is For

Fox Guitar Academy is for curious, committed guitarists who care deeply about their playing and are tired of feeling held back by tension, guesswork, or habits that never fully made sense.

It is especially suited to players with some experience who want a clearer technical foundation and a more natural, reliable way of playing.

The method is especially relevant for classical, fingerstyle, and crossover guitarists, and its movement principles carry across both nylon and steel-string playing.

Good fit if you:

Different players. Same principles.

These are students I teach in person, applying the same movement principles you’ll learn inside Fox Guitar Academy: clearer movement, more reliable technique, and more natural playing on nylon and steel-string guitars.

Martin — clearer movement, better sound, and more confidence through focused technical work.

Nick — showing how the same principles carry into expressive steel-string fingerstyle playing.

Lara — reliable technique, musical control, and the freedom to sing while playing.

Matúš, age 5 clear movement habits can produce strong technique and musical freedom remarkably early.

FAQ

Have a question?

Yes — especially if you’re ready to practice regularly and build good habits from the start.

The course begins with foundational movements designed for first-time players and gives you step-by-step guidance as you go. You do not need prior experience, but patience, consistency, and a certain discipline will make a real difference.

Yes.
Fox Guitar Academy is especially valuable for players who already play a bit and want to refine their technique, release tension, and build a stronger foundation. We begin with the fundamentals and gradually move into more demanding areas like barre technique, speed, hammer-ons, pull-offs, tremolo, and more — always with the aim of making your playing feel clearer, freer, and more reliable.

Of course! All exercises and compositions include both standard musical notation and guitar tabs. Plus, the first module of Fox Guitar Academy offers a helpful tutorial on reading tabs to get you started.

Yes. The fundamentals of good guitar movement are universal.
The method is especially relevant for classical, fingerstyle, and crossover guitarists, and its movement principles carry across both nylon and steel-string playing.

Regular, focused practice matters more than long sessions.
Even just 10 minutes a day can lead to noticeable progress. The daily warm-ups and exercises can be adapted to fit your schedule, so the work stays realistic and sustainable.

Yes — the course is self-paced.
You can move through the material at your own speed and revisit it whenever you need, and you keep access for as long as your membership remains active.

Studio is a structured monthly group session, not open-ended private coaching.
You can submit one short video and questions in advance, and a selection of submissions is discussed live for the benefit of the whole group. The aim is to bring the work of the course more fully into interpretation, musical direction, and real playing.

Not necessarily every month.
Studio members may submit one short video in advance, but Tier 2 does not guarantee that every submitted video will be reviewed live each month. That boundary is intentional: the Studio is designed as structured group guidance with replay access, not as unlimited personal feedback.

Studio is the live group layer of the Academy.
Private Guidance includes everything in Studio plus a private monthly session for more focused individual feedback, personal direction, and deeper work on your own playing.

Yes.
You’re free to cancel whenever you like, and upgrades are possible. If you want to change tiers, there will be a simple way to do that without any complication.

Not exactly.
The Core Course is designed to be complete and valuable on its own. Higher tiers add guidance, accountability, and refinement, but Fox Guitar Academy is not built around unlimited access, ongoing troubleshooting, or open-ended coaching relationships.

Build the foundation your playing has been missing

You do not need more tabs, more guesswork, or more scattered advice.

You need a clearer way to work, a stronger technical foundation, and practice that leads somewhere.

If you are ready to play with more ease, confidence, and freedom, Fox Guitar Academy is ready for you.
